Cooperativa La Cruz Azul, headquartered in Mexico City, is constructing a new cement plant in Seybaplaya, Campeche, for more than $300 million.
The plant will feature cutting-edge technology to meet the highest global standards in terms of ecology and sustainability, noted the company. It will produce an estimated 3,000 tons of cement daily.
Cruz Azul said construction kicked off on Aug. 1 with completion of the first production line anticipated in 2026.
